This book is one of the most recent to be published exposing conditions at the Christian Science Church Center. In the early seventies, Alan Young, well known for his career in acting, went to Boston to serve the organization as Director of Communications, and later as a lecturer on the Board of Lectureship. While audiences are familiar with Mr. Young as an entertainer and lecturer, many are unaware of the treatment he received while working for the Board of Directors in Boston. His book is filled with humor and pathos, poignant in its account of his experiences at the hands of an ecclesiastical hierarchy.
